Software Functional Audit
Cornerstone has a new Services offering, a “Software Functional Audit”. This service starts with a complete audit of all of the ISV software for which your company is currently billed. Experience has shown that many companies continue to pay for software that is no longer in use.

With your staff, we then identify software no longer used and software that provides duplicate function. The result is a list of all ISV software currently in use and a list of ISV software that can be immediately scheduled for elimination.

Next, along with your ISV vendors, we develop a spreadsheet showing your current maintenance and usage costs, and the cost of any possible CPU upgrade fees. An analysis is then done to identify alternative ISV products that provide equivalent function to your currently installed suite of products.

Reduction of ISV Fees
We then work with your contract administrator to negotiate elimination or reduction of CPU upgrade fees from your ISV vendors. We also negotiate favorable restructuring of your ongoing maintenance and usage fees. Our experience has shown that most ISVs will negotiate in good faith when faced with the possibility of having their product replaced by a competitive product. Our primary goal is for none of your installed ISV products to be replaced, only that you pay less for them.

If replacement becomes necessary, we will work with your staff to develop the replacement project. If your staff’s current duties will not allow their participation in a software replacement project, our company, Cornerstone Systems, Inc. can provide highly trained technical and project management staff to do the replacement work.
