Computer Credit, Inc. - Michael Rosinger
“CCI had a relationship with Intelliware for almost 5 years. We had purchased two turnkey solutions from them: a P/390 Server 500 followed by a P/390 Server 330. The experience we had with them before led us to turn to them for a new solution when we had realized that we were quickly outgrowing our P/390 Server 330. In the beginning of 2001, we began taking bids on a new machine. Intelliware wasn't the only vendor we turned to at that time, but in the end they offered us the most reasonable solution and were willing to stand by it. We did end up purchasing an iFrame I-8 from them and have not regretted it.

When the news broke that the Intelliware iFrame development and technical team was acquired by Cornerstone Systems we were quite happy. We had heard of Cornerstone's reputation and knew that this was a win-win situation for us as a customer.

Since we had positive experience with the Intelliware technical team on our previous two machines, we knew what we were getting. The technical team at Cornerstone Systems is very proficient in both the hardware and software aspects of the iFrame system we took delivery of. They were extremely helpful in the migration of VSE from 2.3.1 to the latest release at the time, 2.5.1. They helped us to engineer and configure the iFrame for our particular needs and applications - again from the hardware and software perspective.

They are able to provide extremely proficient support for the three layers that comprise the iFrame: SCO-Unix, Flex-ES® and VSE.

I was a bit nervous about learning a new platform (Unix®), but the help and assistance that I got from the Cornerstone team brought me up to speed in a minimal amount of time.

A year after we put the iFrame into production I still feel just as confident now as I did then concerning the support I can expect from Cornerstone Systems. The name has changed from Intelliware, but as far as the technical team, they are basically the same smiling faces we were comfortable with for many years before. I know that if they don't know the answer to my question, they will continue to pursue the issue with the right resources until an answer is found.

The zFrame has been in production since Labor Day, 2001. With the exception of 1 minor hardware problem, we have had a problem-free experience with the system. It is dependable and it is a work horse.

I would not hesitate to recommend Cornerstone to anyone for a zSeries solution. They have demonstrated honor and integrity many times and in today's business world, that is a quality that has extremely great value.”

Millersville University - Greg Schmalhofer
"We had one batch job that took 10 hours to run. It typically takes less than three hours under the new system. Our users were very pleased.

It was an ideal solution. It meant we down-sized the hardware but kept the same software environment. And that meant no changes for our software maintenance staff and no migration issues for users.

Your team of experts made the installation go as smooth as possible. Their high level of technical expertise was evident throughtout the install process and made us glad to have partnered with them on this project.

When we went live on Monday morning, April 2, and users accessed the new box, to them, it looked just the same."

Elgin Community College - Mike Garrett
“Competitive price and seemingly knowledgeable tech staff. Good up-front work on the initial configuration.

Installation was VERY smooth. There was one hitch in the process (No Support for SNA in Flex), and the work-around was a very good solution.

Post-installation and follow-up has been more than I would expect.”

zDev  Customers:

Client Soft - Robert Evelyn
“Price, Knowledgeable Sales Rep, Easy to work with. Excellent. Everything is working great!”

Access 360 - Bob Larson
“Best price and good history with Cornerstone. Excellent on delivery as well as follow through.”

Document Sciences - David Barker
“You have the better product description and performance ratings.”

Mryan - Mike Ryan (Upgraded from zPad to zDev3)
“Past dealings, particularly with Allen Gooch; he quickly earns one's trust and then repeatedly demonstrates why it is deserved.  The deals have been more than fair, and I never worried once about an "unknown" involving either product content, services, or financials.  Just doesn’t get any better.

Most important, the product does what Allen says it will do; he sets expectations(potentials and limitations) perfectly. This may be the key factor in determining customer satisfaction with the product.

The installation by Mike Hammock was first-rate.  Mike is very credible, likable, and competent.  His quiet confidence must go a long way toward earning customer confidence and respect.  The professional demeanor he puts forward on behalf of Cornerstone (I have managed groups of similar professionals for a vendor) is among the best I have ever seen.

CSI does a great job of interfacing with IBM® to order the ADCD software, license keys, etc.”

Performance Associates - Dr. Pat Artis
"Service and support were the critical decision factors that resulted in Performance Associates' decision to select Cornerstone Systems to provide our z/Architecture platforms. Mike Hammock is skilled, proficient, accessible, and has been committed to the success of our enterprise. During the installation process, he prioritized the minimization of the outage required to transition our workloads to the new systems in addition to configuring them to meet our specific needs. The support we have received after the sale has far exceeded our expectations and has significantly contributed to the skills of our own systems administrator."

Velocity Software, Inc. -  Barton Robinson
“… Cornerstone Systems, Inc. recently sold Velocity Software a "fast" system. The word "fast" is, as always, open to interpretation. Velocity's "old" P/390 served many purposes: it ran our mail system, provided R&D support, and also served linuxvm.org,
www.VelocitySoftware.com , and several other websites….

As anyone who knows how Intel® hardware speed has evolved since the P/390 was current (circa 1995) might guess, current Intel technology leaves the P/390 in the dust, even with emulation overhead. The new system provided by Cornerstone is 25 MIPS, runs on Intel hardware using Fundamental Software's FLEX emulation, and is Velocity Software's primary development system. Compiles and data reduction now run so fast that there isn't time to make phone calls while processing grinds on! Any installation running less than 25 MIPS of System/390 power should check this out-25 MIPS that fits right beside the other Intel servers, has half a terabyte of RAID DASD, and runs twice as long on the UPS as the P/390.”

zPad Customers

Mryan - Mike Ryan (Upgraded from zPad to zDev3)
“I am most happy to be a reference for the zPad® -- it has superlative processor (MIPS) performance; disk performance is excellent for a laptop, but cannot, of course, compete with a server. The zPad makes most sense for one or two developers.

I will be most happy, also, to be a reference for CSI and the Flex-ES® software. Both are rock-solid.”

ASE - Peter MacDonald
We have had the laptop for a couple of months now and there have been no problems with it. It replaced a P390 system that we had been using for the last six years and everyone was impressed by how fast the laptop was compared to the P390. It's also smaller and quieter than the P390. I didn't realize how much noise a P390 made until I turned it off last week.

The portability of the zPad has made it easier for us to demonstrate our software to prospective customers. Instead of looking at a slide presentation the customer can now see our software running on a z/OS system. The customer can get a better understanding of how the software works and we can actually show them how our software can be used to address their needs.

The support from Cornerstone has been fine. We haven't actually needed much. We just unpacked the machine, turned it on and IPLed z/OS (We actually did all this at the lunch table while eating lunch).  Within an hour of arriving here the machine was connected to the network and running.”
